James helped her remove her clothing and gently guided her into the tub. The water was warm and soothing, and Mary let out a contented sigh as she sank deeper into it. James handed her a small bottle of fragrant oil and instructed her to massage it onto her skin.

As she did so, James knelt beside the tub, his eyes never leaving hers. “Just relax,” he whispered, his voice husky with desire. “Let me take care of you.”

“So am I,” Mary admitted. “But what about that painting? Did you really buy it because you were drawn to the woman in it?”

James nodded. “Yes, I did. And now that I’ve met you, I realize that she was a sign of things to come.”

Mary blushed at his words, but inside, she felt her heart swell with happiness. She knew that this was where she belonged, and she couldn’t wait to see what the future held for them.
